Ms. Mobley
Welcome to Valerius if you're a first time first grade parent! I look forward to working closely with you this school year to make it the very best for your child.
When I'm not at school, I spend a lot of time with my 6-year-old German Shorthair, Roscoe. He's the reason I first started running several years ago. I like to train for half marathons and Roscoe makes a great training buddy! So, if you ever see a woman being pulled around the Urbandale area by her dog, it's probably Roscoe and I, trying to burn off some doggie energy.

I'm originally from Charlotte, NC. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2003 with a degree in Elementary Education and a concentration in Math.
I taught 3rd grade for four years before moving to Urbandale, IA. I love teaching in Urbandale! I feel that I have learned much from the staff and being a part of Valerius is the best.

This is my 7th year teaching in Urbandale, five of those years teaching just 1st grade. Once I moved here, I started taking graduate classes at Viterbo University. I graduated with my masters in Elementary Education with my Reading Endorsement in 2009. First grade has been my favorite grade to teach. I love that students grow so much during this year and become real readers. It's my goal that students will develop a love of learning and become life-long learners!
